I had to throw out the little bottles of alcohol that I got for christmas, flavored. too much temptation here. I reach for them and picked up an apple instead. Had a big dinner but did not drink

160 cal Potato soup
120 yogurt
140 oatmeal
70 small apple
70 handful of almonds
200 popcorn
total for dinner=760 calories
but I did not drink alcohol!

Thanks James for your post.

173.6, my weight is fluctuating....and to get back to dieting again. Had a wonderful dinner out last night.
Fried chicken and roasted brussel sprouts and our favorite mac and chess.
Even though I had the equivalent of 3 beers total yesterday with jeff,
I was going to sneak off and have a couple after work with out jeff knowing but I decided to not do that. At least I decided to just go home, To just go home.
any way, think I will throw out the rest of the truly's beverage(pour down the drain)...I don't even like them. They are just a temptation that I don't need.
It is so easy to fall back into old habits....
sigh

edited to add: Down the drain they went!

Just wanted to update!

I have made it to 13 months and two weeks sober. The life changes have been amazing. I still get bored as hell but now get a lot of value from simple things in life.

My business has taken off and Ive been getting tremendous opportunity that was never there before due to my addiction.

I have a ton of work to do on myself, but if I dont gamble Ive won no matter what.

2 years is awesome! Did u replace it with another addiction. Even though I lost a ton of weight this year I go through food gorging periods.

I went from 259 in Dec. 2017 to 218 in September, but in October was lazy and gourged most of month and back to 230, but now back to 223 and ready to grind to under 210 and hope to my fighting weight of 190 by end of 2019.
