I've been looking through my psych record. On one page my Pdoc filled the box saying "appearance" with "overweight". A side effect of a drug she won't take me off of! Wtf?

Sure...that's what mine said too and that's why my pdoc switched me onto different medications. Pdocs are *physical* doctors too...they have to be.

Mine has refused to reduce my zyprexa for FOUR years. My Pdoc is a nurse practitioner not a psychiatrist.

I agree. I saw my disability interview notes back in 2003 before I had a lap band put in and the examiner had put "overweight but not contributing to disability". I had the same response. WTH? I can understand your response considering zyprexa is probably the most notorious for causing weight gain and you've asked to be taken off of it. I feel for you.

Gotta love psych meds that cause weight gain in ridiculous amounts on to people with psych issues and more likely self esteem.

I know they have to note it But its not fun to read
