So lately I've been getting a lot of deja vu. I get a very uncomfortable feeling when it happens and I seems so real that these situations have happened before. I can recall it perfectly in my brain. Yesterday when I woke up in the morning I couldn't remember what day it was and I felt disconnected. Now today I awoke in the morning and laid in bed for over an hour feeling as if my life wasn't real and like I was watching myself. This just seems odd to me. I recently added Abilify to my mix of Latuda and lithium. Not really sure whats going on though. I see my pdoc on Thursday, but figured I'd see what you all have to say on here in the meantime. Thanks for any input

I don't know what you believe is true but I was just on fb a few minutes ago where someone commented on my post about having so many interesting coincidences lately. This person told me the name for it is synchronicity so I looked it up and ya it was exactly what I felt. Then I started thinking how about deja vu because I have had a lot of that lately and it's probably connected in some way and then I come here and read your post. More synchronicity!

I quit taking my risperidone 2 days ago(only on it for a few weeks) and that's when this all started again. I had been experiencing a lot of these types of things before IP. So to me the antipsychotic was dampening my abilities to reach the other parts of myself but it definitely makes me wonder why that would be.

Some of what you are saying sounds like depersonalization which I would expect could be either from the drug or from your disorder but I'm in a bit of a dream too and I like it.

This probably wasnt helpful at all sorry! Tell your pdoc they will probably know much more about why

How long have you been on lithium? I experienced a lot of the feelings you're having when I was on it.

I've only been on lithium for a little over 6 weeks. I didn't realize it could cause these feelings. Did anything alleviate it, or did you just discontinue?

I go next Monday for a blood test. Could it be that my levels are to high?

I have heard of this from reading on the boards. I think it is depersonalization, but I’m just a layman.

Seems suspicious that it started w/the addition of the Abilify. Maybe it is a side effect of Abilify or something else.
