Happy Thanksgiving! Even though dystonia is kicking my ***** right now, I do have so much to be thankful for. Clothes, food, shelter and a very loving family. We are having all our family get together for a turkey dinner. I'm just a little nervous about having to sit or lay down the whole time instead of helping in the kitchen ( I can't stand for very long at all ) And then trying to explain why I'm in pain. But I can do this, might be taxing and uncomfortable but I haven't seen my husbands side of the family in over 2 years. Wish me luck!

Happy thanksgiving! We are having turkey tonight as well and I'm just glad I wasnt expected to do the organizing or cooking this year. I sure hope your pain is bearable and that the people around you are understanding. Take care of yourself!

Our Thanksgiving commemorates the first example of the exploitation of Native Americans! I hope Canada's Thanksgiving is just a day of giving thanks & doesn't have any creepy stories associated with it! We won't celebrate until November, but I am thankful of the fact we have you friendly neighbors to our north. We hope your turkeys are not to raw, not too dry, but JUST RIGHT!

You're right, of course! I was thinking about the Pilgrims landing in 1620...Columbus arrived in 1492! I was thinking about the Indians living in what is now the USA! That's a cultural bias on my part.

It went pretty good. I mostly just sat on the couch the whole time and when someone asked what was wrong I just said my back hurt from my meds. Dinner was Delicious and the family was very relaxed. My kids had 11 cousins to play with so they had a great time. One of the things I am grateful for is this community...you guys are the best!
