My mood is on the good side of neutral and I have slept well the past couple of nights but "the fog" is rolling in thick and heavy today. I am actually getting a lot done, which is good because I have a lot on my plate. It may be personal and professional stress, both of which are high right now. Work stress is a situation that could end very well for me and others but it is largely on me to rock a presentation to client company management. I have practiced and think it will go well but my anxiety level is still pretty high. At home, I have some concerns with kids' mental health. This is the worst the fog has been in a long time. I am optimistic about both situations unless I am fooling myself somehow.

About to go to a T appointment; maybe she will have some insight...

Does the fog get worse during times of high stress and anxiety?

Yes. I sometimes think it is a defense mechanism, desensitizing me in case something bad happens.

T thinks I should see a neuro about fog, just to rule things out. I told her I have had it so long if it was a tumor I'd be dead five times. But I'll go see one.

Does the "fog" coincide with anxiety, the more the anxiety, the greater the fog?

Always a good idea to get some clarity, if possible, via another opinion (the neurologist, for example).

My "fog" is usually relate to CPTSD.

I hope you find relief soon.

Yes, it increases. But it never goes away. For about 25 years it has been 24/7/365.

Oh, Wow. That's a lot of fog.

I hope you get some relief. You have a lot on your plate.

When I start to feel foggy it's usually from anxiety. My brain actually starts shutting down. If I take some klonopin it really helps and I feel clear again.

Walking 3 miles last night resulted in a decrease in the fog, so I think it is stress that increased it yesterday. It is more like it usually is this morning. It is still a problem, but just the usual problem instead of worse.
