So a while back my former t said she didn't think I have bipolar but a hormone issue. At the time I told my pdoc and he said no my T is confused and I have bipolar "bigtime." I laughed.

Today with my new t we were talking about how my illness has changed in recent years. I told him what former said about my not having it and then what my pdoc said. He said no he definitely agreed with my pdoc that i have it "big time!" Lol I laughed and said well it is what it is. He said what i have is harder to treat (psychotic features, mixed episodes and rapid cycling.)

Wow. Lol be blunt y'all

I am sorry your experience with bipolar is so difficult to treat.

My pdoc is also my therapist and he's often blunt about the serious degree of illness(es). Although he's blunt, he's kind. I think he is trying to get me to understand from his point-of-view. I know I am very ill, as I live it daily; yet, sometimes, I get into denial, just to be able to tolerate the degree of illness and to hold even a little hope.

You are much younger than me. I feel bipolar research may well come up with some helpful information within your lifetime. Wouldn't that be great!?

Welcome to the Big Time, Doll YeeEEe Haw! Ride em cowboy.

Just a thought but it's possible that you could have both biplaor and something wonky going with your hormones. Have you had that checked out?

I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and my hormones are
Normal. I also take birth control to maintain a healthy level consistently.
