I have been thinking about cutting my wrists. I don't wanna die, I just want the pain to go away. Should I take these thoughts seriously or should I just try to power through?

Is there any way you can take your meds and go to bed a little early?

I think you should always take the thoughts seriously but I think it depends on whether you feel serious about them or if it is a passing thought how you react to them. It also depends on whether you feel you are at risk for impulsively acting on the thoughts.

I talk to my therapist and pdoc about the thoughts so that they are monitored and if they get worse or I seem impulsive I have help rapidly.

They sound like serious thoughts, so I would take them seriously. I would confide in someone who will help you without judging, whether that's someone on your care team or someone close to you.

Had a good sleep after taking a zyprexa. I'm more in control of my thoughts this morning.

I'm glad to hear you are doing a bit better now and I hope thats the end of the thoughts for you. If this continues happening you might want to tell someone though before it gets worse.

I told my husband everything. He set up a bed for me in our spare room so I could be alone. And he gave me some zyprexa. He takes such good care of me. I don't deserve him.

I just don't know if I should take the zyprexa for a few days just to be on the safe side or if one dose is enough.

I would take it for a few days at least. And excuse me but you do deserve your husband! He sounds like a wonderful man to take such sweet care of you.

My husband helped my create a hidey hole also. Our guest room is my room. With a bed, a computer and TV with a blue ray player. I can go in there close the door and I'm in heaven.
