He worked for an apartment complex and we live there. We have 10 ****ing days to get out and no money. We are ****ed royally

What happens to the rest of your lease? Do you get your money back or do they keep it? |

Wow I'm really sorry this happened to you. Giving you only 10 days to get out sounds harsh it may not even be legal.

I know the feeling when you lose you job because of your Bipolar. It's a very scary place to be in, but like Shazerac said it may not be legal for them to kick you out in such a short amount of time. For legal advice there may be places set up to help out people with low income.

Check your state laws. Some states let you stay longer after the sheriff delivers the eviction notice. Evictions cost money and time. Wait for the eviction notice. Meantime check your Salvation Army (or other charity) for temporary accomodations.

Thanks so much for your replies, Suggestions and support. We are going to spend the weekend packing and throwing stuff away. We have a lot of **** and need to downsize. We will get the Sunday paper tomorrow and see what jobs and apartments are advertised. My mom doesn't have room for us to stay there. My son is going to stay with his girlfriend's family. He is 25 and needs to get his own place anyway. But as a mother I have a lot of guilt about that. We are so shocked about this, it was totally unexpected.

What a nightmare... Proof everyone is damn near 2 weeks away from being homeless.
I hope you find a solution quickly.. I would certainly find out what legal options you have. Thinking of you
