Im soooo tired. I slept 8 hrs the night before and last night I slept 12 hrs and I only got out of bed to take the kids for a walk to the store today. Even had another 2 hr nap.
Do you think this is withdrawl from wellbutrin(off for 5 days now) or do you usually need more sleep after a manic episode? I only slept an average of 3-4hrs a night for 2 months so I'm not sure how people normally recover from that. I definitely wish life was over at this point so I'm constantly wondering if depression is coming but I think maybe after this much stress how I'm feeling might be expected and not actually be depression starting. Any thoughts? |

Sounds like your coming off the med it has a pretty long half life.
Sleep will improve when a manic episode leaves, that said not everyone drops into a depression once the mania goes away. Try to keep to a schedule Get X amount of sleep , bedtime and awake up even when you dont want to Set alarms on your phone. Make sure you get out everyday , take a walk. Hope your feeling better

I always crash hard after a manic episode. My body and mind need some time to recover. Hope you feel better soon.

I don't -always- get depressed but my body does crash after mania. I need lots of sleep. After all it does take lots of energy to be manic

Well I feel great today! Had a good 7hr sleep and woke up to my alarm feeling happy. I have been smiling and laughing lots but mostly about normal things not quite so twisted as I have been. Thoughts have slowed down a little and I no longer feel like smashing things and getting arrested on purpose.
If this could be my new normal I would be extremely happy with it. Crossing my fingers that the mood changes will stop now! |

Wellbutrin takes 4-5 days to completely leave your system.
