The dystonia is back. I think I know why. Apparently artificial sweetener can cause pretty bad inflammation. I went off all sweeteners. Then I had a diet soda a couple days ago and that's when the pain came back. So just water for me!

I am kicking artificial sweeteners/flavors also. Last serving of Lite and Fit yogurt in the morning and then I will start using unflavored yogurt with diced strawberries or a tablespoon of preserves. I used to drink a lot of Crystal Light flavored teas and I switched to Lipton cold brewed. It's large tea bags for making a pitcher and you steep it in cold water. It doesn't get as strong or bitter and it tastes fine to me unsweetened.

I hope you feel better.

Me too! It's hard to take care of kids when you can barely move...sigh. I thought this pain was gone for good but I guess not.

I don't know how I'm going to manage sleeping tonight. The pain is radiating from by back and neck down my arms and legs.

The drug store is closed tonight. I took 3 zoplicone (my regular dose ) and a gravol and some clonazepam. I hope they knock me out but I'm not feeling hopeful. Thanks for caring. My husband said if i kept whining about my neck he was gonna snap it. Of course he was only kidding but I don't tell him when I'm in pain anymore. He's just sick of hearing about it.

I managed to get some sleep last night. Not a lot, but some. Maybe I just need to go off the invega. It just sucks because it's the only ap that works for me.

My husband and my mom are very concerned. I talk about ending it all just to make the pain go away. I have taken every side effect med out there and tried supplements my pharmacist suggested. Nothing is working. I know there are people out there who have things much worse than me. I just want some ****ing relief!

Would the oral invega be easier on your body? I know it means taking oral meds but it sounds like you do that already.

I checked to be sure I wasn't making it up. Here's the drug profile:
https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-1...a-oral/details

In the US they only use the injections if someone has trouble with compliance with the oral meds. I wondered why you were on an injection but able to take clozapine orally (I don't think there is a depot injection for it anyway and a quick search doesn't show one).

I think I'm on the shot because I wasn't very compliant with meds that made me feel shi tty. i gained 30 pounds on clozipine so that was not an option for me. I just got my shot and I have to get it every 3 weeks. I'm getting 150mg of invega . I am hoping he gives me a different anti psychotic that does not have dystonia as a side effect. But I dont see him for a couple weeks.

It looks like 150 is a high dose. I don't know if lowering it or asking to try oral meds is possible but if it were me I'd ask. It can't hurt and maybe would help things calm down.

I've called my pharmacist and he sad he would call my pdoc as soon as possible. I wanna be knocked out. I took extra klonipin and and sleep meds and drank four ciders. Nothing I can do is helping. I'm so desperate for help. I was very suicidal last light and it doesn't seem to be going away. I just don't know what to do.

Can you go to the ER?

They may be able to give you IV meds, which may help more, etc.

I hate gp's! Once they find out I'm bipolar they just dismiss my problems and think I'm a drug seeker. Do narcotics even help with dystonia?

Narcotics aren't usually used for dystonia.

If you have dystonia, it's pretty clear to the doctor, even if its more subtle and if the doctor knows what to look for. Nothing about dystonia is "drug-seeking."

Why won’t you go to the ER? Is it because you don’t think they will help? It’s surely better than killing yourself.
