I have been feeling very disconnected from what's going on around me. My memory sucks. I mean really bad.I have been on the same meds for years except for the haldol that's just emergency for now. I'm just not sure why I'm feeling this.
Just an idea of how bad it is. I went to the bathroom and realized how quiet It was and I thought the kids were getting up to somthing bad since thats usually when happens. When I left the bathroom I realized the kids were not even home, they were at school

Some of your meds could be pooping out.

Maybe. I went off the shot a couple months ago. It might just be withdrawal from the invega. Who knows?

Do you work on your grounding skills?
It may help. ![]() WC

As mentioned Grounding skills are a great place to start.

I get that kind of disorientation all the time; have for over 20 years. it is the most frustrating part of getting treatment. No one has ever been able to lift that fog. I was frantic about it the first year or so. I saw a neurologist and had brain scans; I have tried all sorts of meds and relaxation/meditation, etc. After a couple of years I got less frantic; if it was some kind of tumor or brain disease I figured I would have died already. Sometimes I worry that I caused it from using so many drugs in my teens and early twenties. I have a real problem with time periods. I think things that happened ten years ago happened a few months ago. It does dawn on me that I am wrong when I think about it more. I confuse contexts like you describe also. I don't do this stuff constantly or I would not be able to function. but it happens a lot. One of the dangers to my sobriety is that I could forget that I don't drink long enough to have a couple. Not much help, I know.
