I see my pdoc on Thursday. The last time I saw him we had to cut the pristiq
Because my Medicare drug plan said they won't cover it in 2018. He switched me to Effexor which causes horrid mood swings and withdrawals when I quit it a week later. I'm doing pretty well right now. So far,'so good without a antidepressant. I'm hoping my high dose Latuda will keep me sane but I AM a little worried because November-March are my main depressive months. Should I speak to my doc about getting pristiq appealed before I need it or just wait and risk getting depressed without being able to get pristiq easily? It helps me a lot.

Ask now because it can take months for appeals to go through.

You can always put it on hold if you don't need it. you would have a year to fill it before the script ran out I believe. so my vote is to get the appeal in.

I would get out ahead of the depression and get it now so you don't have to fight as hard for it later.
