I wanted to share my revelation yesterday.
sYesterday i had a long rough day (actually rough month). I cried and let it all out of my lonliness. My therapist was kind and took me to a private room and encouraged me to discuss it in group. I did and when she heard it she did her usual peel it back what else does these feeling mean. Well for me it was be8ng a failure. This was prevelanet in other issues, work, career, gym, mma, fitness, financial, social. We discussed it in group and got more feedback, some even relating to what i M going through. My therapist stayed with me almost na hour after group going over ways i need to change my thinking. Mindfulness was her main suggestion. Slowing down my thoughts and examining them. She encouraged me to use meditation to increase mindfulness and also suggested positive affirmations and to think of myself as a success in the making. I felt better but then returned t drama bull s hit at work which made me go from depression to full onslaught anger but that’s another story. __________________ Lactimal 175 mg Pristiq 100 mg Gabapentin 1800 mg Klonopin 1mg. I'm in the same boat lately and my therapist is also suggesting mindfulness and meditation. I just don't feel up for meditating lately. What helps is identifying when those thoughts come into your head try to push them aside.
At work its so much harder to do. But I've been trying to keep busy at work in order to not think about how much I hate it. |

Boogie - I’m glad you have a therapist and a group that is helping you process. Good luck and best wishes on changing the way you’re thinking that isn’t helpful.

Come on over to the Depression forum. I have threads there that you might like to recite affirmations.
Check out the DVT threads, including mindfulness |

Hi Boogie,
If you are interested in free meditations, I use this website: https://app.stopbreathethink.org/ The voice behind the meditations is calming and I find it to be helpful for both anxiety and depression. There are a variety of free ones to choose from, with the option of buying more for a very small price (I'm talking 99 cents to a couple of dollars here). I have bought some extra meditations and it is definitely money well spent, but the free ones are awesome as well! |
