I don't know what to do with myself on weekends. I get utterly bored and therefore start to feel a little "down". It's not depression, though -- at least I don't think. I just don't have any distractions that I'm interested in doing anymore. I mean, there were some things at home that I wanted to do -- such as reading, watching TV/movies, etc. -- but I can't seem to concentrate well on anything (likely because of my Lamictal), so I'm just not interested in doing anything anymore, if that makes sense. I've basically given up.

What can I do on the weekends? I need ideas. The work week is fine because work gives me something to do (and it's an excuse to get out of the house), but eh, I'm not a huge fan of the work I do. The frigid winter air discourages me from going out.

Are you in an area where there are Meetup groups? (see www.meetup.com for more information).

If you aren't passionate about your work, is there something that you are interested in? Something that involves more than the passive consumption of media? Woodworking, paper sculpture, writing short stories, drawing in Photoshop, coding a web site, working on a car, volunteering at a local chapter of the SPCA, driving for Uber, making up and/or preparing food recipes, learning how to play the guitar, growing marijuana, babysitting, duck hunting, bungee jumping, becoming the world's foremost expert in early World War II infantry tactics?

Do you like animals?

I like going to pet stores that have them. Some have adopt a cat programs. Someone on my local Facebook page asked everyone which pet shops have rabbits, and I found out there was one near me I didn’t know about!

I also went to a small zoo last weekend.

Just an idea.

Can you concentrate enough to play cards and/or table games with friends/family?

Have you ever tried photography as a hobby?

I'll try to think of some other options.
Great question!

It is surprisingly fun to take pictures. It doesn’t have to be artistic.

What about your bikes. There's no snow yet. And excercise helps fight the blues.

Get married and have kids. You’ll never again ask yourself that question.
