I swear this geodon is giving me anxiety. It`s in the list of side effects. Just wondering if anyone here has had this side effect as well.

It has never given me anxiety....just knocks me flat out. I’m sorry this is happening to you. Were you able to find a way to take it in the morning and get around the daytime tiredness? Thinking of you.

I know I got terrible anxiety from Vraylar, so it's possible.

I took it in the morning yesterday and I slept all day. I took it this morning too and I`m not sleepy yet but we`ll see.
But have had a lot of anxiety and panic attacks. I think it might be from the geodon but I`m not totally sure.

A close friend of mine had extreme anxiety, leading to severe agitation with Geodon. This may or may not be the case with you. You are so very wise to keep an eye on things.

I suffer from GAD and have the same amount of anxiety now as I did before starting Geodon.

I’ve been on it about 6 weeks, the only thing I have noticed is I just don’t want to “ have” to eat 350+ calories first thing in the am.

I’m going to get back on Latuda, that was working until the situational stuff happened and meds can’t fix that.

Sorry it’s effecting you that way , major suckage

I don't believe Geodon ever caused anxiety. I was on it at times when I had anxiety (probably something unrelated to Geodon) and times when I had zero anxiety. Of course we sometimes experience different side effects. Other than some sleepiness when I first started taking it (that went away), the only side effect I ever had from Geodon was akathisia, and that didn't start until 5.5 years after starting it. I took 160 mg most of 7 years.

I had a lot of anxiety while on geodon, but I was also "tapering" off of clonazepam at the time, so it was probably because of that.
