I noticed a headline in the news about a man who left a $2,000 tip. That sort of headline makes me a little nervous. I like to leave a generous tip anyway, but when I get hypomanic, I go overboard. Last time, I was giving $100 tips to people most folks won't tip. I wasn't on a mood stabilizer. It's seeing stuff like this that reminds me that I HAVE to take my meds.

When I'm hypomanic and drunk I will leave excessive tips too. I will also try to buy everyone in the bar drinks. Whenever I finally come down and look at my bank account I would sometimes cry.

Taking my meds is definitely important lol

Oh my gosh, yes. I took my friend and daughter out for a nearly $600 dinner Good grief.

I was annoyed for a long time when she suggested we go to that restaurant again while she was unemployed. Fortunately I had come down. I said no.

I actually went bankrupt when I was 22 from buying a ton of stuff all at once. Painful lesson.

I’ve been mostly stable unless I’m drinking (which has been a real issue lately). Right now I’m so broke because my fiancé lost his job and I can’t work. We sold my car. Not mad, it was a POS and I got more than asking price. Well that night I got online and spent $100 in an hour. No it’s not as big of an amount as others, but I can’t afford to lose even $20 right now. I felt like such crap the next day and it was too late to cancel.

I worked in the service industry for years so I am generally a big tipper no matter how I am feeling

I did it with Christmas gifts. One Christmas I bought with credit two diamond necklaces and a strand of pearls. Wasn't even for me!

I claimed bankruptcy after my last manic episode. Now I just don't get a lot of credit, so I can't dig myself into such a deep hole. Back then I was just approved for disability and could barely afford the monthly bankruptcy fee.

I have been shopping very much lately and now I'm broke.
I won't get any money until next year. At least I don't have any regrets, yet.
The only problem is that I can't afford my medication.

It was a local high-end restaurant. We have a lot of techies here that support the existence of such places.
