For me it did not start with sadness but rather exhaustion. Now I’m starting to feel sad and suicidal. So I’m having my medication adjusted. I was just wondering what other peope have for early warning signs Of a depressive or manic episode.

Exhaustion for me too. And I start feeling overwhelmed by things that didn’t bother me before.

Exhaustion for me too. The pattern for me is:
Day 1 - wake up and decide to stay in pj’s
Day 2 - wake up feeling worse. Don’t even try and do anything. Stay in bed.
Day 3 - depressed or mixed with SI
For me, deterioration is very quick and it’s very important that I start prn’s on Day 1. I also must get dressed and make the bed on Day 2.
Thanks for this!

When I'm getting depressed I start focusing on the past. Looking back at pictures, journals, etc. Emotionally I like to rip my old wounds wide open when I'm going down.

I start experiencing displeasure for things and put myself down or feel a great deal responsible for everything.
