When I was younger and less had less personal experience with the evils of BP I was like that.
I still want to quit my meds but more so because I'm done with all the red tape of my clozapine.
I'd advise you to stay on your meds, but if you go off be really diligent on monitoring your moods and be willing to go back on if and when things go haywire.

Maybe you are feeling well because of you meds?

Here is an observation of mine concerning the typical discussion on this subject. I am not talking about this thread specifically. There are people here from time to time think that they do not need their meds because they are feeling good. The thought that the meds are actually working for them is one possibility that never gets mentioned in a discussion on this topic. I find this really odd. I guess when a person wants to drop their meds, they do not want to hear of good reasons not to drop their meds, however obvious and true they may be. We are a rather self-destructive lot of people. Notice I am including myself here.

I can't quit my meds. My husband would leave me and I'm on a commitment.

I know you do not intend on dropping your meds. I was using my post to comment on this same topic that I found elsewhere.

Oh yes, I have felt "cured" before too, stopped my meds and crashed hard. I had to learn that lesson a couple times
