Last night my older daughter received news that her ex-boyfriend shot himself in the head. He had been dealing with depression and not long ago lost his grandfather whom he was close to. He started receiving treatment but that did not last. Yesterday he was depressed all day and asked to be alone. He is on life support fighting for his life. My daughter is all over the place. She’s talking about cutting, that she feels the urge to cut. I’ve been talking and texting with her since last night. I’m really worried about her.

Tell her that she’s got all of us, friends around the world, pulling for her - and for his recovery.

Thanks so much you guys. This is just so hard to believe. Just last May she went to his graduation. Thanks for all the kind words. I’ll be sure to remind my daughter about coping skills
