I tried it once. I dealt with the rest of it by throwing it in the garbage. I wish now I hadn't, because it could have helped me other times

It made me very jittery, and I had used almost every effort imaginable to get to the restroom, and got there too late. After about 18 hours of that, I said enough. I still didn't sleep, couldn't relax, and felt worse than before I took it.
My daughter took it for almost 1.5 weeks, yet according to my ex doesn't have bipolar. She seemed like things were Good on it. I never have seen her DX.

I took it in high doses (40 mg a day) for a few months. Noticed no side effects or any effect really. Stopped it because I felt it was not helping me. No weight gain either so if it works for you it shouldn’t have many negative effects.

You need to weigh the positives and see if you have been having a better quality of life. Personally I'm too afraid to get back on antipsychotics. I was on Zyprexa for about 7 years, but believe me it feels more like 20 years... sure I still feel like killing myself sometimes, but I have clarity. I should mention that I used to be an alcoholic and am sober one year now from the time I was admitted to hospital for liver failure and pneumonia...but that's another story. Don't let me influence or discourage you and yours. If you're going to take anything from my experience, it should be to always review your medication with your doc.

I was on a very low dose at night and it helped me sleep, but my insurance company was not overly fond of it and it was fairly expensive. My pdoc was good with dropping it to try to narrow down what I need. I had trouble sleeping a few nights after dropping it and then started benadryl and sleep well again.

Best sleep I ever got. Took it for several years. I got used to the taste. It really worked for me, too, and my symptoms were very subdued. Unfortunately, after all those years, I got unexpected muscle movements. As I'm a chemist, this was a dangerous situation so I had to switch it out. That is a possibility with any antipsychotic from what I understand.

Leveled mood very well. Tastes like crap. Great sleep, but I couldn't get up in the morning. Gained weight. Couldn't function mentally as well. Eventually got off it.

I considered it my miracle drug for several years. My pdoc would prescribe it when I got severely depressed during the winter months. I even got used to the black cherry taste and got it through patient assistance so it was free. We decided to go with a different medication this time around that has worked out even better for me.
