I know you're all pretty sick of reading about this, but my side effect med wasn't taking the pain away but it was taking the edge off. Now I'm out and everyone is out. The drug company, the pharmacies, none...at all! No one has any idea when they will be in again. So here I lay, wanting my meds.
I'm just hoping the splitting of the geodon helps...not so far.

I don't understand why the pharmacy can't keep it in stock if you order it every month.

Just found out that the drug company isn't producing anymore of my med for 12 months. I don't know what to do.

oh man. that's rough. i don't have any suggestions, except maybe talk to a doctor about...some kind of replacement, or something to at least take the edge off for a while...

Geodon works well for me. I'm gonna cut my dose in half and see if it helps.

My pdoc said the only AP that helps dystonia is clozapine. I gained 50 pounds on that shiit. I finally lost those 50 pounds and I don't want to put it back on. But I dont want to go through this pain for an entire year, so I need to decide.

Could it be that the generic, procyclidine, is not available but the name brand Kemadrin is?

Our insurance will only cover generic. We don't have the money to pay out of pocket. I just called my pharmacist and he said they don't make Kemadrin anymore. This is very frustrating.

I looked up dystonia and diet and it said to stay away from most carbs...to lessen the inflammation. And fasting is good as well. So if I can stick to this diet hopefully I will notice a difference soon. I don't know what else to do. But I'm desperate, so it's worth a try.
It also said that fatigue and stress makes it worse. Which sucks cuz I stress out all the time.

So no more slim fasts...you need to eat real food.

I do need to eat more. I passed out tonight. Could be from the pain or it's cuz I'm not eating enough.

99Fairies—I am so sorry to hear this. It has been a rough time for you

You can do low carb and fasting with me. That’s what I do. I go to the moderate side of low carb, and I follow Dr. Jason Fung for fasting.

Has your pdoc discussed the odds of getting a permanent dystonia (tardive dystonia) if/when you stay on a dystonia-producing med? I would be very concerned about this. (I get dystonia very easily and with an increasing number of meds and, after doing research, I am very concerned about getting tardive dystonia.) Just a heads up, FWIW. Please discuss with your pdoc.

I know what this is like. I am sorry you go through it, too.

At my last appointment which was last week I asked pdoc if this could become permanent and he said no and not to worry about that. Hope he's right.
