Ladyshadow, I wonder if that's why I can't follow certain blogs (the independent domain). I mean, I can bookmark them, but they aren't going in my reader for some reason. I'll give it one more try on the desktop next time.

Maybe you folks could add me first. I'll share my username. It's shrimpandbeans
Maybe you folks can try adding me as a viewer from your end. I'd still rather give my blog in PM though, just so I know who's interested...just while I still have it in private mode. Thanks!

Ok, I added a few more tonight. These are great! Mine is such a baby blog. I haven't even filled out my about page yet (Its not going to be personally detailed, but I'll try to make it fun). I'm also having some problem with the like button. (It doesn't seem to work for me anymore. ) so I'll try to comment when I can, but do realize that I don't always get a lot of time to spend on this site(this week has been an exception). And I'm also trying to appeal to a broader audience, so it's not heavily about health, but I will need that outlet too. Right now, besides health, my main other focus is writing and writing camp. My next post will be about the pre camp project I'm working on. Considering sharing the excerpt, but not certain yet.

my blog is about 50% mental health-related, and 50% other topics. My blog has a category list where people can find my posts by subject category. The "mental health" category is where all of those types are. There are a lot of them. I don't often write journal-type entries. Occasionally. Most of my mental health-related posts, which i myself write, include articles, reflections, based on true life stories, and narrative poems. Today (tues, feb 20) i wrote two posts. My latest is about my sweet but challenging parrot. The one before is more a reflection about mental health/illness on the theme of "constants".

Looks great! Very Spring inspired, no?
I'm not sure if I can follow it from WordPress, but I think I can create a Blogger blog, or profile anyway. Used to have one but most folks I knew were using WP at the time.

ok, so I'm just going to post it here. It's a private blog though so I'll have to add you, but click here if interested. I've also followed all (I think all now) of the blogs here. My username on WP Is Reverie (as said in last post), so you'll know it's me if I comment. Ok, thanks!

Here's mine, which is focused on budgeting/finance for people that have additional struggles (eg. manic spending) Debt Decimator Blog - Eliminate Debt on Your Own Terms. I'm still working out the kinks, but definitely interested in feedback, and/or whether or not it is useful!

Mine is in my signature

It's about mental illness (schizoaffective/bipolar, anxiety, and bulimia), plus I post random journal entries , thoughts, some of my artwork,
book reviews, stuff about videogames. Basically a big variety of stuff but I do post a lot pertaining to mental health

I'm interested in creating a blog (from scratch-- I'm into coding), but would you guys be interested in reading it? Is it worth the effort? I already journal so that takes care of my need to get stuff out.

I would definitely read it if it's bipolar related.

Blogs are a great way of sharing one's thoughts and feelings, which can help others in their own recovery and living with bipolar efforts. It's so awesome to see our members journaling on their journey!
DocJohn,

I just tried to submit my blog to your site but the program said "Sorry. We do not accept sites like this." What does this mean?

I can't find where DocJohn said to post our blog sites for the index. Perhaps the index is no longer available like the PsychCentral blogs went away. So I'll just share here. I hope you stop by.

Hi Jewerlygirl1986. Unfortunately, blogs and journals are no longer available on PsychCentral. I started my blog at WordPress.com: Create a Free Website or Blog. I posted the link to my blog on the forums (where you found it) on PsychCentral to give it some exposure. Setting up a blog on Wordpress is pretty straightforward and it's free. When you do set it up, remember to use widgets to give you a comments section, a like button and a follow button so people can follow your blog-- they will get email notices of your posts. It takes a while of regular posting to build up a following so don't get discouraged. You can use your blog like a journal you're for sharing your life journey, your struggles and successes. If you've done some research about a particular problem you have, you can share that--just be sure to note where you got it from, the date it was published if available and who wrote it if the author's name is given. If you have a hobby that you love, you can start a journal about that. Explore blogs on Wordpress to get a feel for what and how others are blogging about by clicking on the "reader" button on the website. It may not be available until you join, I don't remember. Like I said, it's free so have fun playing around with it. They have many beautiful templates available to help you get started. I hope this helps.
JourneyUpward.
