So im on lexapro. I've been taking it for 3 and a half months. My appetite (which has been higher than normal) but its been relatively stable and manageable with good diet and exercise up until now, but all of a sudden this week it's practically doubled, becoming barely manageable and mostly uncontrollable which honestly scares the hell out of me. My question is , would changing the ssri to maybe prozac, or zoloft, is there any chance that that could help, or would they all result in the same increased appetite? My logical part of the brain keeps convincing me that they all will result in the same outcome, coz hunger increases with increase in serotonin (if im correct) and given that they all primarily function as serotonin boosters, why would one expect a different outcome from any other ssri? Anyone care to share anything helpful would be very much appreciated please..

Totally different for everyone. I gained weight on lexapro, though it might have been the AP I was on.

I have lost 35 pounds on so zoloft, but know someone who gained 60. Yes changing meds can make a difference, but results vary.
