I had an eye exam last night. I have a very strong family hx
Of glaucoma so I have to go every year plus I wanted new glasses.

She asked why I take my meds of course so I just said schizoaffective. She wrote in my chart, "bipolar, schizophrenia"

Idk why but that bugs me

It’s all the extra letters.

Also, to me, I would now feel categorized and outed to another whole branch of public life. Also, more paperwork declaring my abnormality.

I just wouldn’t say anything to anybody.

I only tell them what they needs to know like meds I take and let them guess as to why.

Bipolar, schizophrenia and schizoaffeive are all three different categories, I'd be irritated cause she got it wrong.

Hmm, my eye doctor normally doesn't ask. Every other med professional does, though, and they usually get it wrong.
Thanks for this!

Idk what she typed both instead of just sZa lol
It's kinda funny. Doesn't matter as long as she knows the meds I'm on
