Me, the one dx'ed with actual ADHD has been having to keep people on task this week. I'm supposed to be the one all over the place. What's the deal? haha. I have been using the smart coffee and have been more focused so I guess that's it. I've been getting more done and my brain feels clearer. Having less issues with the whole talking thing and not forgetting all the words. Doing stuff I wouldn't normally do. I'm not hypo or manic, just FYI, I would know :P. Just genuinely feel good. Been sleeping 9-11 hrs at night. Trying to get into a schedule. It's weird. Just gotta watch what I eat so it doesn't put me out of commission for days at a time. NO NEW FOODS. LOL.

This is sad? (Your thread title.)

It sounds like you are doing very well!
Maybe the volunteering is helping, too?

Good for you, Moreta!

Isn't it weird, though--having a MI (or a few) and still being on task more than "normal" people? I think we're more conscientious about it though.

It was mainly referring to me keeping people on task. haha. I can focus for a good 4-5 hrs a day now to actually get something accomplished. Better than it used to be. lol. Usually would just space out all day. Too many days in a row fries my brain though. I'd like to work again in the future so trying to work up to that. It's rough getting your life back together after not doing jack **** for almost 3 years. I'll get there though.

sounds like a good plan!
I think the volunteering is great! I'd love to volunteer for a politician I believe in. I do a lot of letter-writing on state and national Bills, when they are coming up for a vote and I enjoy it, as long as I can summon up the energy. (I stay stuck in a depression most of the time.)

I think Fharraige makes a good point. We are likely to be conscientious.

I am glad the coffee is working out well for you.

Already in bed here by 7:45. 180 miles and a wedding in one day. I's tired!

Sounds like you're doing really well! Curious, what's "smart coffee?" I could use some of that.

Severe ADHD here (well, according to MH professionals?).

I'm usually all over the place too, so I do think it's funny you're the one keeping people on task. My Ritalin helps... to a degree. The rest of it I have to push through it, as I don't do caffeine. (I simply don't like coffee, soda, or tea! And no caffeine pills for me.)

Most people at my work are pretty focused, so I don't have to keep them on track, which is good because it can be stressful to do that all the time. However, I used to have to do that at school with a lot of people when I worked on team projects with them! Blah. Annoying after a while.

Just remember to take it easy and do what you gotta do to work again. If people aren't focused everyday, don't let their problem become yours because it'll stress you out pretty quickly. Give 'em a figurative slap and kick 'em in the @ss... or literally if they piss you off enough. lol
