I've started making a to do list everyday. I do what I can and leave the rest if I can't. It helps me to see that I was a success today. If I can only brush my teeth that day, then I was successful that day.

Sometimes I can do more and other days I can't. So I'm learning to live with my limitations and excepting them. Yesterday afternoon I couldn't do anything but sleep. I felt frozen like I couldn't move. I think I was so full of anxiety I just couldn't do anything. I beat myself up over and over so I'm still learning to accept my limitations.

I love lists. I used to make one at night so I knew what to get done the next day. But if I'm having an off day, I just feel guilty about even making the list.

I use lists a lot at work when my concentration sucks. I have a tendency to forget what I need to do. I find it helpful. The down side is, and especially if I use them at home, I put too much on them. And then I get frustrated and down on myself for not completing them. I think the trick is making sure they are reasonable lists.

It sure helps. My 2nd wife was the list woman. She started planning the toys to buy for the kids the next year, right after christmas. I left her anyway.

I use schedules, but it starts with a to do list.

I use to do lists and am working on adjusting to a more structured schedule for the day. It helps me to remember the tasks I need to get done and to assign a time to do them. I can then build more self-care into my schedule, too, by not wasting time.
