I'll be signing the lease and moving into my first apartment Monday! This will be me going all in, for me, by me. I'm very mixed emotions about it.
1. I've never been completely in my own place before by myself. I'm worried I won't take care of myself. Then anyway, I was married all that time and nobody really took care of me then.
2. I'm excited that I'll have the opportunity to take care of myself. This seems contra to number 1 but isn't.
3. I was freaking out about packing but I slowed down, and I don't own much, and it's nearly done now. I'll have to pack toiletries.
4. I will be overdrawing my bank account but it will all settle and I'll be ok. Eventually. That doesn't remove the anxiety over money.
5. The building is to be 100% smoke free starting April. That's awesome.
6. All utilities included except if there's an overage on electricity. That worries me but it hasn't happened yet.
7. Free Wi-Fi in the building. Nice
8. I think basic cable is included but it doesn't matter with free WiFi and Kodi.
9. The building has an old building smell. I'll figure out a way past it.
10. It's walking distance to a gym I go to three times a week. Less than a mile. This could be good or bad, based on my exercise addiction vs my gasoline usage. I'll probably save in fuel what the apartment costs. There's also public transportation there, a bus system.
11. There's a grocery store and the police are nearby.
12. The river is near too.
13. It's also walking distance of being able to go flip off the Governor on a daily basis. Gotta love that perk.
14. The best of all. My kids all live in this city!

It's truly a real crapshack but it's mine. It's in a vintage building but completely mid-1980's modern on the inside. It's all I can afford, and with all utilities included is a paradise to me. I can't wait. I did get a haunted feeling in there too but I'll get used to it I guess. I walked past the building again today and got that same feeling. It's ok, most of Frankfort is very haunted. I haven't been to the big cemetery there in a while. Maybe I should go see Daniel Boone...

I've started moving in today after a good cleaning. I'll have to get a few more things, like maybe curtains, and definitely a shower curtain and rings. Curtains might be needed if I plan to sit around nekkid, because there's windows across the alley. Gonna wash my dishes up and then get moving more. I might skip one class tonight but still going to yoga. I'm so freaking nervous! I'm also very excited and happy. Also, very scared to be this alone. The maintenance guys kind of eyeballed the floor where I'm setup to sleep and that I have no furniture. Fork it, I'm fine on the floor.
