Mania is always knocking on my door because I absolutely REFUSE to be drugged up to the point where I can't use my mania to help me accomplish my goals. I have entered a "Nirvana" where I know EXACTLY where my mania is in regards to my mood, so I keep tabs on my sleep schedule CONTSTANTLY.

These days, I average a good solid 8-9 hours every other night, while getting about 4-5 hours the nights in between. I am not panicking about it though, because I just know that's my manic mind at work, and that's just fine with me as well as my pdoc.

As long as I AM getting sleep, I can block the psychosis that comes with my mania quite well.

My normal average is 4-6.

Which obviously decreases or increases during episodes though...

Maybe 10 hours but that`s only if I take my bedtime meds. If I don`t take them I don`t sleep.

I got 6 hours last night, crashed very early. For me, this is a vast improvement as I had been sleeping 3, maybe 3.5 hours a night and having hypomania. I am happy the new stuff for sleep my pdoc gave me seems to be working. I can't afford to go full-blown manic and mess up my life yet again.

I sleep from 6- 12 hours a day. It depends on my schedule. If I have to work, I sleep only 6 hours. But, when I am free, I sleep most of the day.
