If so, why?

I took my evening meds maybe one hour earlier than usual last night (6 pm instead of 7 pm), and instead of falling asleep at my usual 11 or 11:30 pm, I was so tired that I fell asleep at about 8 pm. I was dead tired! Then I woke up at 12 midnight with my heart racing and sweating. Then I fell asleep again and woke up at 3 am fully awake and hungry/thirsty.

I can't get to sleep again, but got at least 6 hours sleep. I am making Easter dinner. I made the dessert and one of the side dishes yesterday. I guess I'll have about one hour of active prep for the dinner. The rest inactive cooking. I'll ask hubby to deal with the dishes. At least the house is otherwise neat and clean.
Hugs from:

I am awake, but then again it’s almost 10 am here

I did wake a couple time during the night, but managed to fall asleep again within minutes.

Sorry you are having a hard time sleeping.

I'm awake. It's 5:30am here. In the Winter i sleep til noon or later but in the Spring i get up early. Like you, Bird Dancer, i feel asleep early last night at 10:30pm. I rarely sleep before midnight.

In a post a while back you said you and your husband were entertaining your parrot for hours and yet she still wanted more. My dog is like that. No matter how long i pat her she still wants more! How do you entertain a parrot? I didn't know birds were so social.

Hugs,

Jane.

What is it about 3 am? I've read many others say that was a frequent wake up time, too.

scatterbrained04, I hope your son has fun searching for the eggs.

Nix, I should check out the chat sometime.

Whatever2013, parrots are highly playful social animals. Mine plays soccer, gives kisses, does somersaults and loves to lie on his back and get tummy rubs, he sometimes "fetches" like a dog, enjoys throwing things, and more. He can be very cuddly, too. He says words, mostly in Czech, and understands what some of them really mean.
