Hey there, I called my p-doc's office and they confirmed that Latuda won't go generic until 2024. Grrrr

It's a very expensive drug.

Check directly with the drug maker even if you have insurance they often have plans that you might qualify for.

That's about right. Its main ingredient came off patent in 2018, but its since suing two generic makers, which can take years. Also it can tweak an ingredient and change its formula so it's long-lasting or extend its safety profile to include young people or the elderly. It's called evergreening. It looks like Latuda generic might not be out until 2026.
