Anyone on here use Trileptal? I am considering that for my next option. Does it work well for anxieties as well as Bipolar 2?

I used it for about 3 weeks , it messed with my balance I could not walk straight nor drive of course. Constant nausea.
Also the last day I took it was due to my guns bleeding , early SJS my Pdoc and I agreed. I think I went on Invega after that and it worked well for me then of course it just stopped and moved on to another med.

I've been on it for a few years. Seems to work pretty well for me, and I have no side effects once my body adjusts to it. I did have things like drowsiness and feeling spaced out the first few days, and also when I increase it. I just hit 1500mg and have started having menstrual bleeding between periods, but pdoc says it'll probably go away after a month or two. Starting/raising doses by 300mg or less and working up slowly seems to help keep side effects down. I once jumped 600mg at once and had too many problems. It seems to help somewhat with depression, more so than lamictal ever did for me.
Not sure about it helping with anxiety. I take gabapentin with it for that. Also take Latuda because the trileptal isn't strong enough for my depression on it's own. |

In hindsight it made things worse for me. With anxiety, thought process, etc.
I ultimately stopped taking it because of blurry vision and that I was no better, but worse, than when I started. I was taking it with lamictal and zyprexa at the time. Everyone reacts different and there's so many factors. I did not find it helpful at all looking back. |

I was on Trileptal a couple of years ago. Took it for about 5 months. It didn't do anything to decrease my anxiety; in fact, it didn't do anything noticeable at all. But many people are helped by it.

That's how Latuda was for me. Didn't do anything noticeable at all.
