I have an odd relationship with phones - the technology interests me & they often provide me with connection to the Internet - however I've grown to resent the fact that the rest of humanity seems to view them as a way to pester me at their convenience. So I'll use them for email/texts & outgoing voice calls (if I have to), but have them on silent & turn off voicemail. I don't hide from the phone, but do hide from the disruption it can bring...

I had my voices tell me not to answer the phone once so I didn't and ended up IP

I totally do this. I put it on silent and keep it away from me. Its like me hiding from the world.
