I've been feeling like I'm just about to lose it. Same voices, telling me to get rid of myself. It always feels like Satan is attacking me. When I had trouble as a child I was told that it probably was just Satan, and he wants to grab as many souls as he can. I also can't be in a room with anything read. Reminds me of demons. I know this is probably just an episode, but it feels real to me.If I'm aware of the lies told, does that mean I am not really psychotic?

I am sorry you are going through this.

I am also saddened you were told Satan plays a role What a scary thing to tell a child!

I hope you can keep yourself safe, despite the voices.
If you are feeling tempted to harm yourself in any way, please awaken H so he can help you.

Please stay safe.

I'm so sorry, 99fairies. The state you've described sounds very frightening. Do you have any idea of what caused it...any changes in medication, for example? Or maybe you need a med change.

When will you speak with your pdoc?

I just went through a meds change and the new med made me very paranoid and I was seeing things. So I quit that, called my pharmacist And he said it can take up to a week to get out of my system. It's been almost a week.

I've been on several meds that I went off of and by day 2 had intense symptoms. Usually, the pdoc would tell me that I couldn't be experiencing symptoms so soon because the med takes more time to leave the body. Maybe that's true sometimes, but I don't believe it's always true.

Will you be able to speak with your pdoc soon? The paranoia, etc. that you're experiencing does not sound like something you want to continue experiencing. I mean, I would be concerned about it getting even worse.

I see him in a month. If it isn't from the old med and just persists, I will go to the hospital my Pdoc works at.

I agree with Laurie! Please don’t wait a month. Telling a child that their bad feeelings is caused by satan is vicious abuse! It’s a miracle any of us make it through childhood alive. it’s makes me so mad they told you that! You are sick NOT being chased by Satan. Please take care of yourelf and get help soon.

When I am in psychosis I also think it's Satan attacking me, but than I'm talking to God and Jesus for help really. I also do a lot of reading of the bible.

Yes zyprexa is great glad you are feeling better. Why not have your doctor put you on zyprexa full time. I know weight gain can be an issue. But it seems to really help you.

Gaining weight is not an option for me. I gained 60 pounds from meds. I recently Lost 55 pounds. I can't regain that weight.

I think if you're aware of it just means you are fighting it. I have paranoid delusions and, AT TIMES, I am aware it is not real, and I can fight it. At times I completely run with it and let the delusions consume me. Anti psychotics help, if you're not on any, I suggest you get on that asap.

I’m sort of in the camp of “whatever works for you.” If you can’t take zyprexa full time because of weight gain, maybe it’s a viable option to use as needed to yank yourself out of a psychotic episode. Just a thought. You seem to be self aware enough to be able to know when you are experiencing psychosis.

Have you ever tried Invega ? It helped me level out , very seldom was paranoid. It’s also weight neutral, I actually lost weight on it.

I agree tho if your going into hell and Z pulls you out on a prn then I’d use it.

Only your therapist knows best, there’s too many questions about your past that I don’t think anyone here should give (unless they know you) a credible answer. Feel better, you deserve it❤️
