Just looking for some help and encouragement here. As most of you know, I have 2 broken feet since Feb 5th and I am slowly starting worth. Nevertheless, Life was going super well; my new meds finally proved to work and I was feeling "normal". However, just as things were getting better for the first time, life hit me with a huge down
My brother left school and said things that he shouldn't have without any harmful intentions and landed himself in the psychiatric unit. This is especially heartbreaking because he knows how hard it is, after seeing me go through it.
Since then, I have seem to lost my happiness, joy, and all hope.
Every day I struggle to control my impulse. I'm not complaining, I'm just saying that life's good, but it's just really hard.
At this point, I'm wondering why I fight so hard to survive. I'm slowly losing hope....
To end on a good note, because I was crying hysterically, my mom listened to my struggles and offered to make me tea, and my dad took me outside, and my mom called my siblings to try to stay quiet so I can calm down.
I hope everyone is doing well.PM me if you ever want to talk to need someone to talk to.
Thanks.

So much struggle in your family. I can't imagine having both feet broken. Maybe the psych ward will help your brother? If he's left school, something is wrong. Hoping it gets better

The psych ward definately helped. Now that he's out, he's getting more focused treatment.

You are going through some really difficult times right now. It’s not surprising that you have a bleak outlook at the moment. But Things WILL get better. Your feet will heal, your brother is getting the help he needs. I’m glad you shared with your parents that you were struggling and that they offered you love and support.

Well, it certainly doesn't feel good when life hits you when you are down--literally with two broken feet. Maybe you felt sucker-punched and it took the wind out of you. But you sound resilient and I believe your joy will return...things you can do in the meantime??? Hmm...stimulate yourself mentally--read, research, talk, do puzzles to exercise the gray matter. Surround yourself with joyful folks, not he Hahaha loud ones, but the folks who have a base of joy and love. Cancel negative self-talk--those tapes in your head. When a negative thought floats across, say aloud. I cancel that and am open to what is and what will be. Give to others who may need it--with two broken feet, that could mean emailing encouraging thoughts to someone. Be good to yourself, learn, grow, and you will be a resource for your brother. Hope all turns out well...

Yeah life is hard--especially when crisis after crisis occurs.

Is your brother needing attention for a while? Sometimes when a sibling is hurt pretty bad the other sibling(s) feel left out. My brother had a chronic heart condition and it was hard being the "healthy" one, even when I was having emotional problems in school.

Yeah, my parents need to watch my brother a bit more closely now. he has to go to outpatient too which means less time for them to look after me...
