I know what people will say: "A week off from what?" Good question. Whatever it is I do. I need to blog more. I missed my voice lesson yesterday and my teacher was none too thrilled with me. I missed choir rehearsal and im contimplatimg missing church tomorrow so i can sleep in. (I always take my kids to/from school/work.) I probably won't be able to sleep in but I'd like the option. So every day I read and write and I need to do this. Today even I met someone from the local symphony orchestra committee. We knew a lot of the same people and not just orchestra members but choirs and their directors as well! That was a highlight of my day. However I didn't take a shower the last sevetal days and its getting to be a problem. I dunno what to do. How can I take a day(s) off when I "don't DO anything?"

Is there anything “fun” that you used to do that you can do again?

Like Christina said maybe take a day off where you only do what you want to do even if that means doing nothing but staying in bed with a good book.

I went to the nail shop I used to frequent years ago but they were closed. Im at Starbucks now. Oh well. Getting my nails done wouldve been expensive. Im tired and my head hurts- yet again. And my "guages"/plugs went bad. They got all weepy and bloody and scabby and closed up. I have no idea why. Guess I need to make a trip to the doctor.

I took Saturday off (yesterday: work 6 days a week)...and stayed in bed all day till 3 p.m.... Now I’m getting ready for Monday casually doing chores...no big pressure.

I hate it when the weekend is more hectic then weekdays.

It sounds like you're having a tough time, Moose. Take heart in the fact that the weather is supposed to be nice this week...80 degrees on Tuesday! Try to make plans to spend some time outside. There are many lake & river trails in Michigan, so maybe you can walk some of the depression & anxiety off. Good luck!

Are your kids old enough to take care of themselves, like simple cooking and cleaning? Can one of them drive?

If not, maybe you can arrange for a friend to drop in and see if they're okay.

You need to take care of yourself. Otherwise you'll really burn out.

My daughter almost has her license- almost. The kids can cook and clean for themselves yes.

My daughter has cleaned the whole house and im getting "what have you done?" My friend stopped by starbucks and told me I shouldntve missed church- and reading the bible on my own "doesnt count". If I said "I got a shower- and got out of bed" they would just say "so?" I just dont want to do anything. Even at starbucks with friends I didnt really care.

I think I'll go water my money tree. That will cheer me up. I love seeing my tree thrive. Its got six babies sprouting!
