I find myself for the first time ever wanting to abuse my meds. It is a surreal feeling.

It depends upon the psych meds. And psych meds are often cheap and definitely accessible, unlike street drugs.

Crook32, what meds are you on?

Lithium, Vyvanse, Vraylar, Metformin, Propranolol, Xanax, Belsomra, Gabapentin, weaning off Seroquel

if you have insomnia, agitation, low mood, etc., that makes misusing your psych drugs more appealing. with the benzodiazepines, it could also mean that you've developed tolerance and/or have an issue with anxiety between doses.

lots of people abuse stimulants, btw. that's why they're in the Schedule II of the DEA classification...high potential for dependence, addiction, etc. Its definitely not just you.

Is it the Xanax you're thinking about over-using?

Drug use is cool. Abuse is never fun. In anything. Not even sex.
I'm sure that what you are looking for, won't come from Vyvance or Xanax. The only two that can provide a buzz.
You probably have your monthly prescription, unless you're connected, is so, you'll run out before the next, and then what???.

Gabapentin can get one high, too.

I am pretty sure I very much understand how you feel, Crook. Just be careful, because people do die from accidentally overdoing it. It must be an awful feeling to OD. Think about the actuality of that, in small steps.

I’m not on “fun” drugs.....but like vyvance would rock my world....but it’s cheaper to buy street coke, but won’t.

Just don’t do it...they will strip you of all your meds and then you’ll be that blubbering mess that you was before you started (being dramatic...but yes?) just saying...it can be a whole hellof worse.

Thanks for the schooling, Laurie. I don't know Gabapentin. Now I do.

I think it's almost impossible to OD on benzos. I started abusing sleeping pills because they don't work and I need sleep.

I hope you find someone to talk to and start feeling better. I too have mis-used or abused meds or have at times taken leftover ADs from when I was misdiagnosed with major depression, generally causing me to become manic. Something just to stop feeling so flat. It’s a slippery slope.

Ooh, no..it's quite possible to OD on benzos, especially if mixed with other sedatives, narcotics, etc.

That's true. Benzos have their dangers but you pretty much can't OD on them without mixing them with something else, like alcohol, or buying them on the street mixed with god knows what.

Ice seems to be the street drug of choice here because it’s dirt cheap. It’s also a stupid idea.
If you’re looking for a buzz then go do a sky dive or bungee jump. It’ll be safer in the long run.

I disagree strongly , benzos will suppress your breathing which can certainly lead to death.
