I was wondering if any of you have any experience in something unconventional than ip.
Something to get my mind right, get me on the best medication, and help give me the tools to live a functional and productive life. Most of the places I've found only deal with addiction and that is not really my issue. I would even be willing to pay out of pocket but something covered by insurance would be preferred. I envision a place by the beach in California or Florida. This last year took a tole on me and made me realize I am nowhere near ready to live life on my own. I want to start a whole new life before I reach 30. |

So basically, similar to a rehab facility, but for BP instead?
The only things I can think of off the top of my head are IOP or PHP. In either case, you get lots of therapy and some of the BP stuff you're looking for. I think IOP would be perfect for that. PHP would be another option but if you're in crisis. If you're talking about something more community based, check out NAMI. They have meetings every week, two weeks, or every month, and then they do outdoor events, like their yearly walk. |

I remember reading that Catherine Zeta Jones went to the type of place I think you're referring to, but it was surely very pricey. In my area/income range, IOPs and the more hour Partial Hospital Programs are the only options and are near my home and are not sleep over options.

Just even the word “retreat” sounds expensive....never knew there was such a thing.
