Crazy Interaction

Everyone says stay away from peter. I am so frustrated. Pdoc never called in a stop-gap med for me. So i have to feel crappy till friday when I see pdoc. I was crying earlier our of frustration. And everybody i know is divided about whether or not that whole conversation was a hallucination. The nurse said it can happen- whole converrsations! Everyones got their opinion on everything and im left in a ball of symptoms. I went shopping today because the nurses said to do something for myself.

Omg I want to SCREAM!!! I have voices in my head telling me negative things out of nowhere like "you ****er! Shut up! Youll never sleep again! Dont think you can win. ILL win! **** Haldol. **** you."

****. I ran into peter. He tried talking with me. I told him Id been having hallucinations and was now on Haldol. Not sure if this phased him or not. I left as the conversation was making me EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I walked out of the building shaking!! Then he called me- I ignored. Then he texted me- I read it but I still am shaking. Good thing my pdoc increased my Haldol.

My dose was raised to 2 mg 2x/day up to 5mg if that doesnt work. Oh boy am I se sleepy! Awake right now though. Havent heard any other voices since last night so maybe its a blip ? Not sure Haldol works this quickly.

It can work quickly yes!!! It did for me!

Yes I remember that you were on haldol. Why did you go off it? I dont see it in your signature?

I took it years ago , got me right out of a mixed episode in about 2 days

Thanks, Christine.. Its kinda weird being on haldol. My pdoc skipped right over zyprexa saying "we don't want to go there again!" When she chose haldol on the computer screen.

My daughter just brought home milk from the gas station. I opened it and it was poisoned. I thought it might not be so i tasted it.. Tasted like milk so I took it with me. In the livingroom, I saw my daughter drinking milk. But which milk? The red? The blue? Probably arsenic- doesnt that have no flavor?

I would dump the milk and get new milk. It probably not poisoned but just to help your anxiety.

Because I took it for over a year and yes it did help. But then it didn't. My psychosis kept coming back so he changed it to vraylar.

I had side effects that sucked but if I needed it I would go back on haldol.

My dose has been changed to 5 mg tablet: take twice a day 1\2 pill OR 1 whole pill.

I have not taken haloperidol, but I have read about it and yes, it can act quickly.

Haloperidol can reduce sweating, making you prone to heatstroke. Avoid hard work and exercise in hot weather.

I ve bought expensive shoes and toys and taken my kids out to eat a million times. I got one of those things in the mail today. I just feel bad. My pdoc says i have hypomania.

Haldol made me get hot really quick so make sure you hydrate. It's a good med!

If memory serves, Risperdal and Geodon are the fastest acting Atypical Antipsychotics. Haldol is the fastest in the Typicals. Seroquel takes the looooongest to act.

With Haldol, I'd avoid excessive exercise and hot temperatures. It reduces your ability to sweat and disrupts signals to body to dissipate heat. If you do pass out or feel like your going to pass out. put cold packs (or ice) underneath the arm pits. This should help drop the body temperature (confirm with thermometer).
