I am sure this has been a topic. I did a search and it is hit and miss.
I have been put on 40 mg. The only part I see is the 350 calories so that your body absorbs it better.
Anyone want to share the good or the bad. I have taken it for two days.
Just not been able to stay stable. Almost got to point of IP again. Have been through seroquel, and wellbutrin.
Trying to stay busy and moving. I did do some self harm, havent done that in 5 weeks, forgot I did it in IP.

I don't have experience with it, but just wanted to say I really hope you feel better and more stable soon.

Not to be negative, but it didn't work out for me—neither did Seroquel for that matter.

I was too sedated on latuda. It didn't fix or improve any wonky brain chemistry I had going on, either. It just made me so tired that I couldn't give a f*** about anything. Anxious? Too tired to care. Roll over and back to sleep. Suicidal thoughts? "I really hate mysel--- Zzzz... *snore*..."

So I guess you can say it "kept me safe," but for all the wrong reasons. I think it's one of those you love it or hate it drugs. Some people absolutely love it and call it a lifesaver, while people like me don't benefit from it.

But either way, I think you should give it 7-14 days to see if you're experiencing any improvement. I think 7-14 days is the general rule of thumb for all APs. Though, sometimes latuda can make people more depressed, so be mindful of that. Seroquel XR made me severely depressed when we upped my dose to 250mg, and I noticed that within 2 days (it was like I slammed into a wall), so it was pretty fast. And thankfully the depression went away when I stopped taking it. So, if you notice a rapid worsening of symptoms within a few days, tell your pdoc asap. Could be the med at fault or maybe you're just naturally worsening.

I went into an immediate mixed state from the first dose (it agitates me very badly) and dealt with serious SI that almost landed me back into the hospital. Never took it again. It's too intense for me.

I was on 120mg (I think that's the max dose) but now I'm on 80mg. I have been taking it for depression for the past 2 years or so.

It took about a week to start working and it somewhat lifted my depression at the time I started it.

No mood-related side effects. It makes me really drowsy so I take it about 1.5 hours before I want to sleep.

I think it might have stopped working because I didn't notice any changes when I went from 120mg to 80mg last year, so I'm thinking of stopping it (with pdoc of course).

I am currently trialing Latuda and so far it's the only one out of 5 I tried that worked without show stopping side effects. I got an early response to it too, it made me a bit happy for a day or so, but helped my depression well too.

I just had to stop Latuda. Had akathisia even at the lowest dose. Otherwise it was great.

Latuda was added to the mix when I was ip in May. The biggest problem I have is that I feel sleepy very quickly after taking it. I learnt this via falling asleep on a chair numerous times.

I found Latuda quite helpful. It truly helped me break out of a 5 year relentless anxiety/depression. I was on Latuda for a year. Honestly, I wish I could have stayed on it...I developed a severe tremor & my pdoc was concerned about TD. So he took away the Latuda.

Latuda gave me extreme anxiety and sent me into a mixed state, just like abilify did. I was on it as experimental monotherapy and the experiment was a failure lol. It also made me sleepy which cost me a job because I kept falling asleep on the job. It was terrible. I was so embarrassed. But it works super well for some people so I would at least try it.

I have been on Latuda for over a year now and it has helped me be stable. It took like a week to kick in. My wife and kids can really tell when i am on them or not.
