The med did not make me manic, but I did shake terribly like I was in the advanced stages of parkinsons.

Ditto. The tremors are very troubling. As for Abilify causing mania, I think it's doubtful that it would be a cause since Abilify is an atypical AP. Despite the tremors, I've continued taking Abilify because I think its benefits tend to outweigh the negative effects. Abilify also helps with depression, so I feel it's a 2 for 1 medication.

No, I didn't. I didn't experience depression either. In fact, it didn't do a thing for me, and my pdoc took me off of it, despite their having a program giving out free Abilify at the time to low income patients, so I didn't have to pay for it.

I experienced one of my worst manias after being on Abilify for about 3 months. I must also mention that at the time I was also on Lamictal, which after a number of trials clearly showed was activating for me. The question is, was it solely the Lamictal that made me gradually full blown manic with psychosis, with Abilify just being ineffective at preventing mania? Or were both activating? I don't know the answer. In any case, I have never taken Abilify since, which also gave me akathisia. I am taking a small dose 100 mg of Lamictal, but with a large dose of Tegretol XR and Seroquel XR. My psychiatrist never increases my Lamictal dose beyond 100 mg. I've taken that low dose with Tegretol XR and Seroquel XR for about 8 years now.

I had a terrible mixed episode from abilify and celebs. Maybe the abilify didn’t cause it but it didn’t stop it either. Rexulti also made me hypomanic.

Not for me, but it's been scientifically proven to be possible. Check out this case study:

It didn't do anything for me. I was on it twice; once for major depression and once for bipolar.

This thread is an excellent example of how one medication can affect people so differently.
I was on Abilify for about 2 months. It didn't seem to do anything, one way or the other. So I went off of it.

It either made me manic or it didn't stop the mania. However, I'm convinced it's the former, I was only on 2.5mg and that dose is commonly used as an adjunct antidepressant for MDD. I kinda wanna try it again, I feel like if I tried maybe 10mg or more it might be a different story.

It gave me brain zaps at any dose. I heard the sizzle in my ears and bright sparks in my mind with headaches. Abilify and Latuda are 2 drugs that I refuse to take anymore.

I experienced the "zaps" you refer to on both Latuda and Abilify. But, Abilify was the only one that caused mania for me.
