Hi everybody long time!

Ive had a great run of no depression and no slips with my major addiction for ten months.

I jacked up my foot and have not been able to walk for two weeks. This was my most important tool and now Ive entered a state of floundering. Im not depressed yet, but totally out-of-whack, short-fused and want to walk so bad.

I wish I had another form of exercise, but I dont. It may be a few more weeks until I can walk more than a block or so.

I remember when others wrote about their tool box and I thought mine had a bunch of things in there, but seems by taking the best one out, I crumble pretty bad.

Sorry just needed to vent, either I find something new or be patience which is my worst trait.
Hugs from:

Hey Boogie, hope u are good!

No man, two massive blisters, about an inch under toes. Incredibly painful. I was sooooooo careful for 9 months not overwalking, keeping to like 5 miles a day and I went to an event and lost my car like an idiot and ended up walking over ten miles in total panic as it was dark and in town I dont know.

I've been there. Pole dancing was my out let of choice. I shattered my big toe coming out of a handstand and was told no pole for 6 weeks. I wont go into details, but I did not handle that well.

Try to remember it's not forever. Distraction is key.

I hope you mend quickly.

Ugh, I get this. When I started having mood issues as a teenager I ran a lot to keep sane, then got a chronic injury and that left me in a bad mental state with no way to get rid of the extra energy and anxiety.

I walk for both mood problems and better health. I push myself too hard. I injured my leg, but I still was walking. I finally stopped to let the leg heal. A couple weeks later, I was fine. I hope your foot heals quickly. Maybe you can soon place a bandaid on it and do some leasurly walking around the block. Any walkng can help.

Wow, pole dancing! U are very brave and strong.

I think u are right on trying to remember its not forever. It could be only a week away and be okay, but Im so, I want it now type of person. Distriction sounds like a good idea, good time to do yoga or more intense stretching.

I think the extra energy stored up is bad and my biggest problem.

Also my schedule has been thrown off as walking took a few hours up and regulated my sleep better.

I think rest is the best for me as its not infected and I usually mess my blisters up and sometimes have problems for months. Ill give it a week and see if ready to go .

Since you can't walk yet (you will!), can you do some stretching - even while sitting on the floor? That way your body would feel looser and less tense, plus you'd be doing something to expend energy.
Thanks for this!

Like Laurie said, stretching.

Yah I started to stretch and do situps. but is not just the same as I work mostly from home and the walking gets me out of the house and I go into trails and I feel like the entire world changes.

Would be a great time to get yoga going.

My mind is okay and feeling better, but Ive gotten so lazy since this started two weeks ago.

Your best tool is your brain. Then eyesight. Then extremities.
But the real boss is the ***. If it refuses to work, you go bye bye.
