euthanasia

I contacted a lawyer about euthanasia. I live in Canada. It's not available for mental illness. It would require the law to be changed. It's only available for terminally physically ill people.

Possible trigger:

I don't want another botched suicide attempt and the ensuing panic and chaos. I've made eight attempts. Apparently, suicide is just another thing i suck at. I was a peaceful, dignified death. I'm tired of suffering. Death is the only humane thing for me.

The lawyer doesn't handle that type of law. He's the one who got me private disability benefits. He gave me a couple names of lawyers to contact. I don't have the money to finance a case so i'm hoping my disability benefits provider would finance it. After all, it's in their best interests to get me off their payroll.

I would be so happy to just have my life over with.

I am sorry you are feeling so hopeless.

I go through this too, at times, wanting to just pass quietly.

Mental illness can seem to have no mercy. Its so draining to suffer endlessly. Even with others around us, it can be lonely.

I do understand how you are feeling.

I have missed your Presence here.

I hope things shift and you feel less hopeless, soon.

this isn't even a thing in england, and that sucks- it really sucks

Possible trigger:

like you, I've attempted many times (5 times), and would just like my next attempt... not to be an attempt

my only real option is to go to one of these clinics in europe, but then their's getting the money, the flights, getting me to face an airport.. it's not going to happen anytime soon- which is ashame, because it is out their, not in my country, but not far on a plain.

I just wish it was legal in the UK.

I want to add I'm not currently at risk of it, all I'm saying here is that I wish that when I am, it is an option

I’m sorry you’re feeling so hopeless, I’ve been there (and sometimes still am)

(I’m in the uk and for me personally they have not done much but harm me, the professionals

and I’ve lost all trust and almost all hope in them

)

I said it in another thread, but I'll say it here.

Possible trigger:

if you're not at risk from suicide right now, and are not about to do it, the english professionals don't give a ****.

and even if you are at risk you have to wait a ****ing age to be sceen

oh, and let me add the lack of good, helpful responses from english mental health teams

I think it's because the professionals think more about the legal stuff than they do about the welfare of their patients
