This started at Starbucks maybe an hour ago. Ears closing up. Internal restlessness. Anxiety? Part of depression? Its coming from nowhere it feels like. I guess I'll take a PRN Ativan 1.0 mg. I still don't understand where this is coming from. That depression stuff from yesterday maybe? When I move my head the room spins.

Could it be the caffeine (assuming you had any)?

I get the same drink every day.. The last time this happened (thinking it was the coffee) it was hypomania. I don't think that's the case this time. I get a hot tea drink with two ristretto shots- that's coffee. This doesn't feel like last time at all. My ears keep closing up and the room keeps spinning. And I know that anxiety and depression tend to go together.

That sounds horrible. My mom describes similar things about her vertigo. I really hope it stops soon.

Caffeine affects me differently depending on my baseline mood, time of the month, and how much anxiety I am already experiencing. Do you think you could be more sensitive to it while already hypomanic than you would usually? Could be something to keep an eye on. Hope it is just anxiety and you feel better soon

I think it's worth considering a physical cause. Room-spinning can indicate an ear issue (where our balance etc come from). Someone at work recently experienced the same thing and that's what it was.

My MIL has "vertigo" and the room spins when she is having an attack.

I hope you don't have vertigo; yet, I agree with Innerzone, you might do well to consider physical causes.

Maybe it’s the caffeine. I know paniC attacks feel different person to person. Me, I feel like I cannot get enough air to breathe, heart racing, feelings like a very near miss in a car accident, but there will be no danger, and I will keep feeling like that, sometimes over an hour and there is all that adrenaline too..l

Room spinning for me is usually one of 2 things: I have an infection (usually sinus) blocking up my ears and affecting balance. Or I am fainting or about to faint. This is 50/50 with me when they take blood. Once, I even left the doctor’s office after the copay and everything, made it to a traffic light, did a U turn, did make it back inside the PCP’s waiting room, then passed out cold, hitting my head on an end table and chair. (Needless to say, they never forgot who I was ever again). I had major (though superficial) wounds all over my face and many bruises over the rest of me. But mt face bled so much and had tons of scabs and bruises, I didn’t even want to be seen in public until it had healed a good bit.

I am sorry you are having these issues. Maybe try not to have caffeine? Take note of anything else going on. Is it that same coffe shop you met the tattoo guy? Could it be anxiety from that? When do you see the pdoc again?

I just saw the pdoc this past Thursday. So a month after that. Might call her about this though Monday.

But if in the past turned these symptoms were followed by a hypo then can you be proactive instead of reactive? Calling your Pdoc is smart !

Remember I was having that reaction from seroquel? Almost fainting ? Im just confused right now. This isnt quite as severe as that. One thing that popped back into my head (as i sit hear eating a bagel) is I may be going bavk into my old judo eating patterns. It was "only 'healthy' foods and not much of that. Im cheating now with a bagel but I am going to judo tonight. I gotta get back on my bikr before it snows!!
