I'm taking a college course right now and having a really hard time focusing on homework and during class. Even writing this post I keep going back and forth to other tabs and tasks. I would really like to pass a class and achieve something for once. Help!

When I was in college (back in 2009 lol) they always encouraged studying or working in 15 minute intervals with 5 minute breaks between. They say it's good for focus and also stress. Good luck

Find music that soothes or excites you and study with it, 15 minutes at a time. Then, when you take the test, remember the music. That works for me usually.
I also used to go to class with the mindset of, "I'm going to absorb everything I can, especially the boring stuff." I did excel in school, but only really when I was manic. |

I always studied by writing everything down like terms and definitions. By writing it really kept me focused and I made a whole lot of A”s

Work with your classmates after class.
You'll learn a lot from each other and your collaboration motivate you to sit down and "just do it." That's how I survived. It's perhaps one of the best ways to learn and helps you be successful. It also teaches you teamwork, which is something you'll be focusing on when you get a job. I ultimately earned a master's degree using that technique. It helps more than you can imagine. Also, let me know if you want specific study tips. I can either write them here or PM them to you. There are a lot of them and I could write an entire essay, but I don't want to bore anyone. lol. Or if anyone here wants tips too, I can provide them or make a new thread that includes study tips and life tips. |

But handwriting things helped me. Highlighting important stuff or things I most seemed to forget. Coffee too though unfortunately that is not good for sleep.
