Was prescribed 1-2mg lorazepam as needed for anxiety. (Taking lamotrigine and sertraline for bp2)
I actually rarely use the lorazepam but I’m finding it doesn’t do much other than leave me with a headache.
Anyone tried anything else with success?

Yes it makes me sleepy though. I don't take a high dose so I don't get loopy or out of it just really sleepy

I use propranolol, it works on the physical symptoms and I like it much better than benzos with their mental affects.

My best result has been with fluoxetine. My pdoc originally frowned on the SSRI. I’m back on a very low dose, but wish it could be higher. It’s enough that the worst of the deep gut anxiety is tempered, at least.

Benzos have worked, but they put me to sleep. Even the lowest dose was too sedating.

Buspar made my heart do weird things, but it is very helpful to others.

Quitting caffeine helped immensely, as well. Though that is harder to stick to than it should be.

If both you and your pdoc do not mind benzos, I would try clonazepam.

If one of you or both are wanting a non-benzo, I'd consider gabapentin.

Just relying on my own experience.

I hope you feel better soon!
Wonderful to have you posting! Sorry about the circumstances. I miss you when you are not posting!

Ativan trips me out. Even at .5mg I am super stoned for hours. I mean like almost nonfunctional. The only way it helped my anxiety was to make me so stoned I didn’t feel it anymore. After I abused it for a couple of weeks I got scared and got rid of it. I won’t ever take it again. If I ever take a benzo again it will be klonopin. That seems to be the one that works best for me without too many side effects.
