No, at least not now. I do believe when I first started a couple medications that I was so tired that my speech was slurred a little. That passed as I grew used to the medications. Two I recall are Geodon, that later was not sedating enough, and Seroquel. I only take Seroquel XR at night, which does help me sleep. If I take Seroquel XR or iR during the day it would sedate me, unless I was hypomanic or manic. I've accidentally taken Seroquel 50 mg instead of Ativan 1 mg (they looked similar) at about 1 pm in the past. I was pretty spacey for a good 30 mins.

Don't ever get drunk on bipolar medications. That could be a culprit, too.

Once my careless husband accidentally took MY evening medications in the morning instead of his. Wrong pill box. He almost passed out at work. I had to pick him up and bring him home. He then slept for a good 10 hours from about 10 am to 8 pm. His usual morning meds were an antidepressant and stimulant. My evening meds were Lithium, Tegretol XR, Geodon, Seroquel XR, and Klonopin. He was obviously not used to such a mix!

I do not get slurred speech from my meds.

I'd wanted to comment because I am concerned. Please be sure there is not another cause, like a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) and/or mini-stroke(s).

My FIL was having slurred speech. Upon investigation, he was having mini-strokes.

It's not my intention to scare you. I'd just wanted to share, incase you need to see a doctor.

I really hope it's just related to a med and is that simple.

Please take care.

Yep. Klonopin definitely. Also the tizandine (muscle relaxer) I sometimes take for fibro; it's a prn med, so I don't take it daily, just when I have a flare.

But I think the more medications I take that can cause drowsiness, the worse the slurred speech gets. So if I have a bad panic attack and take Klonopin, propranolol, and hydroxyzine, and that is not helping, I can also take 1-2 25 mg Seroquel tablets. All that, and I slur constantly.

I think Wellbutrin worsened my speech issues, but I can't be sure. I've only been off it a few days now (had bad forgetfulness the pdoc thinks is either Wellbutrin or Clonidine).

Invega but only after being on it for about 8 months , very odd.

I was tested for TIA’s due to the odd times it happened

Zyprexa made me feel like I had marbles in my mouth at first , when I gained 12 lbs in a month I tossed that in the trash right away.

I’m not willing to take a chance on ruining my liver or kidneys to take a psych med and I will not take a second med just so I can take the first one.

I get full blood work every 6 weeks because I take Enbrel so any changes I will take care of immediately.

Clozapine for me too although after a while it went away except during the night when my blood levels are highest. In the hospital going on it I had a few days of sounding drunk.
