Has anyone here donated blood despite being on antipsychotic medication or any of the others that we take? Or the opposite query: has anyone been denied specifically because of taking a BP med?

Good question!!! I donated blood JUST yesterday! I had to, of course, list my current meds and they didn’t say a word! That was an easy $35 Donating BloodDonating Blood

I'm on an AP and donate every two months. There's a list of drugs they don't accept but APs aren't on the list. Years ago....about 20 they wouldn't accept me but the Red Cross now accepts most preventive meds as OK. I don't even have to keep track of my donations they call me when it's close and I make the appointment and they even send a reminder email. There's a huge need for blood. I'm O+ so everyone except the negative can receive my blood. It gives me a great feeling of purpose.
