Daylight Savings Time (DST) will start tomorrow for my U.S. friends. We move our clock back an hour.

Does DST affect your mood? I know that DST sometimes throws people off.

I hate seeing a difference in daylight. It messes me up and messes up my sleep. Now instead of waking up at 4:30am, I'm probably going to wake up at 3:30am!! I have an internal alarm clock

It doesn’t really impact me negatively although I’d prefer they not mess with daylight savings time. Just leave it alone already! I use the extra hour to sleep or get things done. Having said that...I prefer fall back to move ahead.

I've generally liked DST. Getting that perceived extra hour of sleep has always been nice. I, too, generally wake up "earlier", but that's nice to feel like I have more time with energy. Though driving in the dark is unpleasant (because of deer and headlights) I rarely drive at night. Thhe evening doesn't seem shorter to me. I don't mind falling asleep earlier and waking up earlier. I'm not usually a night owl unless I'm some level of manic. In those cases, I don't care if it's light or dark.

I don't like that people mess with daylight savings time either.

I don't mind spring ahead too much when it comes to mood, but spring ahead just exhausts me (like I'm sure it does to everyone else).

Hmm. Around here, we rarely have deer at night. They like to jump out in the middle of the road in the morning, along with the giant flocks of turkeys that take their sweet @ss time crossing the road. Sometimes the turkeys just don't know which way they're going, so they sit down like a bunch of protestors and don't do anything. I'm afraid of hitting the horn and scaring them, because then they may fly and hit my car, causing things (like my windshield) to crack. I also have a scoop and a spoiler on my car, and I can imagine those things are easily cracked, too.

I dislike DST and cannot understand why it exists. I fear falling into depression when night comes so soon. I like the night, but if it would consistently arrive at about 7:30 I'd like it more.

I hate it the dark is long enough as it is why make it dark and hour earlier? Do away with it. Just fall back a half hour and never again mess with the clocks.

I hate it getting dark at 430 !! Make the winters seem long than ever !

Should be stopped, isnt it Arizona that stopped this ridiculous thing ??! They seem to be doing just fine.

i'm not from the USA, still, embarrassingly, every year, I forget to reset my watch.

I've still not set it- choosing to get the time from the computer in sted

still, my watch is only an hour ahead.. I can just work it out from that if I'm away from my computer

I should reset it really, but hmm.

Yes, it's Arizona and yes, they seem to be doing well with no DST.

I wish they wouldn't change the time. But this time maybe a bit easier since I started waking up at night and then not falling asleep again for an hour or two so sleeping until 9 AM the last couple of nights. Now that is 8 AM. It's depressing that it gets dark so early. Sunset is just after 5 PM tonight where I live.
