I don’t lie to my Pdoc or my therapist, but to regular medical professionals I lie all the time. I’m a nurse and I know that a lot of primary care providers are poorly educated on mental health issues and will overreact to situations that aren’t truly a crisis.

I say what I need to for continuity of care, but my PCP doesn’t need the real answers to everything.
