Going back up or down or mixed or something. My sleep is out of whack, too little, too much energy, too irritable. I've been snapping at people. I'm alternating between overwhelming bad thoughts and overwhelming positive, electric feeling energy.

So I guess that means I've got another episode coming down the pipe I think. The BEST part about all of this is I'm in between pdocs at the moment so I can't get any med adjustments! Yay!

I'm totally screwed until late this month! Possibly. I feel like amazing garbage. It's not that intense yet but I know it gets worse. The lack of sleep is going to catch up to me and I'm going to really go off the rails. I have work tonight and I don't know if I'm going to be able to keep it together. Ugh.

I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't want to be hospitalized again.

I'm so sorry. When do you see the new pdoc? Is your PCP willing to help? Can the new pdoc get you in for an emergency appointment?

Mixed sucks, though I guess mine it not as bad as it could be, so I should be grateful.

If the only way to stay safe is IP, I know it sucks, but it may be what you need to do. I'm on a lot of meds too but at least sleeping OK right now. Not great, but 6 hours a night is enough to keep my mania at bay. Could your PCP help with sleep issues? I notice you are on a lot of meds; so am I. Don't know if it's the pdocs or I'm just this screwed up.

IDK, with the sleep issue though...that goes on 3 or 4 days with me, full-blown mania is sure to hit, and then I get into all kind of trouble. Is that worth it? For me, even IP is better than the fallouts of my full-blown manic episodes. How much sleep are you getting at night right now? Could you call a doc and see if maybe you can increase the trazodone, even if it has a zombifying effect? Trazodone tends to be a pretty safe med as far as upping the dosage. There was a time I took 600 mg a night, but of course, I was a zombie the next day until bedtime. Better too much than too little sleep in your case right now, though.

Oh my sig is outdated, forgot to update. I'm not on traz anymore, or really anything for sleep.

As for sleep, I got about 4 hours last night and 5 the night before, so not great. I feel all wound up and energized but wired and tired at the same time.

Mixed is hell, and dangerous to our relationships including work. If you don’t think you can hold it together at work, if you can, call in sick. It’s better than them seeing you in all your glory. Mixed can escalate to very serious states of being. Is there any doctor who can at least help with sleep meds until you see a pdoc? Please keep us posted.

I really like how you put that — “I feel like amazing garbage.” That is such perfect wording.
